Maskwacis man wins $271,449

Dustin Littlechild couldn’t believe his eyes. After scanning his ticket from the Oct. 4 Lotto Max draw, the self-checker showed that he won $271,449.

“I scanned it several times before I believed what I was seeing,” the Maskwacis resident said. “I started sweating and feeling nervous.”

When considering what to do with his winnings, Littlechild has his family in mind.

“I would like to set up trust accounts for my children. It is a dream to help secure the future for my kids,” he said. “I’d also like to pay off my truck and pay for my upcoming wedding next summer.”

Littlechild purchased his $16 Lotto Max quick pick at K&M Foods, located at Samson Avenue in Maskwacis.

He matched 6 of 7 numbers plus the bonus number. The winning numbers were 20, 31, 35, 36, 39, 42 and 44; the bonus number was 23.
