Maskwacis RCMP investigating after man, 26, shot

MASKWACIS – A man, 26, was taken by STARS to Edmonton hospital after being shot.

The Maskwacis RCMP Community Response Unit (CRU) is investigating the shooting of a 26-year-old man on the Samson First Nation. Shortly after 5 p.m. on July 2 police responded to shots fired in the Samson Townsite. Witnesses had taken the victim to the Maskwacis Ambulance station with a gunshot wound.

The victim was transported to hospital in Edmonton via STARS air ambulance and is in stable condition. Maskwacis CRU members are seeking public assistance to identify suspects in this shooting.
