Red Deer RCMP investigating after pedestrian, 14, hit by SUV, flown by STARS to Calgary

RED DEER – Red Deer RCMP are investigating after a teen, 14, was hit by an SUV.

On August 19 the Red Deer RCMP responded to a collision which resulted in one young pedestrian being transported to a local hospital, and then transported by STARS to Calgary.

At 5:22 p.m., the RCMP were dispatched to Ellenwood Drive.  An eastbound SUV collided with a 14-year-old pedestrian.  The pedestrian suffered serious injuries.

An RCMP collision analyst attended to conduct a scene examination.  The incident did not occur within a crosswalk. 

The investigation into this collision continues.
