JASPER – Miette Hot Springs outdoor pools are nestled in Jasper National Park and offers a spectacular view of the Fiddle River Valley.
After travelling 15 kilometres along a narrow, winding and seasonal road up the mountain you arrive at the hot springs. There you can soak in the hottest mineral spring water in the Canadian Rockies. The water flows 54C from the mountain but is cooled to 40C.
The three springs supplying Miette flow at 1,540 litres per minute. The top five minerals in the springs include sulfate, calcium, bicarbonate, magnesium and sodium.
Beside the hot springs is Fiddle Valley Cafe that serves up homemade lunches, coffee and ice cream.
