ROCKY MOUNTAIN HOUSE – RCMP arrested four people, seized an AK-47 rifle, a loaded 9 mm handgun, cocaine and a large amount of Canadian currency after raiding a house.
On Feb. 13, 2020, the Rocky Mountain House General Investigation Section (GIS) and Crime Reduction Unit (CRU) were involved in an investigation into drug trafficking at a local residence. Later that evening officers executed a search warrant under the Controlled Drugs and Substance Act.
As a result of the investigation, four people have been charged with various offences.
Mario Pierre-Cadotte (33), Lucas Barth (20), Diane Duncan (34) and Dana Lynn Morin (27) of Rocky Mountain House were each charged with:
· Possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking
· Possession of proceeds of crime under $5000
· Unauthorized possession of a firearm (x2)
· Unauthorized possession of a firearm knowing possession unauthorized
· Possession of a loaded restricted firearm
· Possession of a firearm obtained by crime
· Unsafe storage of a firearm
Mario Pierre-Cadotte and Dana Lynn Morin were also charged with failing to comply with a Recognizance (x4).
Diane Duncan was released from custody and will be appearing in Rocky Mountain House Provincial Court on March 25, 2020.
The three remaining accused were remanded into custody after a judicial hearing and are set to appear in Rocky Mountain House Provincial Court on Feb. 19, 2020.
