Edmonton Police issued a warrant Oct. 15 for the arrest of Aaron Myles Atchooay, 31, for second degree murder in connection to the death of Justin Wade Highet, 34.
The Edmonton Medical Examiner has completed an autopsy on Highet, who was found dead in a residence Wednesday morning. It has been determined that he died from gunshot wounds, and the manner of death is homicide.
Police say Atchooay is presumed to be in the Edmonton area, and police are seeking public assistance in locating him. He is believed to be armed and dangerous, and should not be approached.

At approximately 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 14, 2020, Northeast Division patrol members located a deceased male alone inside a residence in the area of 172 Avenue and 47 Street. The death was determined to be suspicious, and homicide investigators took over the investigation.
