Update – located: Bear Clan Patrol locates missing 11-year-old Calgary girl

Calgary Police are happy to report 11-year-old Mara, who was reported missing earlier today, has been found by Bear Clan Patrol Calgary.

Calgary Police thanks the Bear Clan and to everyone who aided in the search and safe recovery of Mara today.

Eleven-year-old Mara Jade BUTLER left her residence in the Thorncliffe/Greenview area earlier today and has not been seen since. She is not dressed for the weather and we are concerned for her wellbeing.

Mara was last seen in the 5900 block of Trollinger Street N.E., around noon, today, Tuesday, Oct. 27, 2020. We have been searching for her since but have been unable to locate her. She is described as Indigenous, approximately 4’10” tall, with a slim build and long brown hair. She was last known to be wearing a white ‘Frozen’ hoodie, dark leggings and white running shoes. She may also be wearing a pink, puffy jacket and carrying a white cloth bag.
