FORT MCMURRAY – Fort McMurray Councillor Jeff Peddle has been charged with voyeurism and distributing intimate images without consent.

Wood Buffalo RCMP allege that on June 22, 2020, they received a complaint regarding the distribution of intimate images without consent that had occurred in the Wood Buffalo area.

Wood Buffalo RCMP conducted an investigation and provided the results of that investigation to the Office of the Alberta Crown Prosecution Service Special Prosecutions for review in August 2020. As a result of this review, charges were recommended.

On Nov. 12, 2020, Peddle (53), was arrested. He was released on conditions to appear in Fort McMurray Provincial Court on Dec. 16, 2020.

Peddle was elected to Wood Buffalo council in 2017.
