CALGARY – Alberta Health Services (AHS) is asking some individuals who attended the South Calgary Health Centre for COVID-19 immunization on March 23 and March 25 to book a test as a precautionary measure, due to potential exposure to a healthcare worker who has since tested positive for COVID-19.

The healthcare worker worked at the site from 8 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. on March 23 and from 8 a.m. to 4:15 p.m. on March 25.

AHS is reaching out to the individuals directly and only those who are contacted by Health Link require testing.

Risk of exposure is believed to be low due to the continuous and correct use of PPE at the site, as well as the strict COVID-19 safety protocols in place.

However, out of an abundance of caution, they say they are contacting 49 members of the public, who attended the site for their appointments on the dates and during the time frames outlined above, to be tested for COVID-19.
