(Sent to over 100 independent restaurant and Gym owners in YYC)

Dear Calgary restaurant and gym owners:

As you are well aware the Province of Alberta under the Jason Kenney government, with the advice of the Chief Medical Officer Deena Hinshaw, has decided to roll back restrictions to Stage 1.

I work with numerous individuals and organizations that believe these restrictions do little to save lives and do immense damage to both the restaurant and gym industries. The government’s position unlike ours is not backed by data and to this day they have not provided any evidence to the courts that justifies these lockdowns.

I am contacting you today to encourage you to stand against public health restrictions and keep your businesses open. Benny’s Breakfast Bar is a restaurant in Calgary that has publicly stated they will openly defy these restrictions and we hope you will not allow them to stand alone. During the last lockdown, restaurants across Alberta stood up to the Kenney government and through that activism managed to get restrictions lifted. We have spoken to many business owners who are saying the same thing, that they are at wit’s end, but are afraid to stand up if they are going to do it alone.

I’m here to tell you you’re not alone. Respond to this email and I can connect you to all the resources you need to fight this:

-Connect you with other business owners who feel the same way we do.
-Connect you to people who can teach you how to protect your assets using holding companies and offshore havens. This could potentially allow you to still reap government benefits and shield you from liability.
-Connect you with legal teams willing to give you advice who are prepared to fight this battle
-Connect you with media who will conduct full interviews and tell your side of the story.

Please let me know if you have any additional questions or concerns that I can address.

Thanks so much for your time.

Best Regards,
Jake Eskesen
