Trump bringing back MAGA rallies

Speaking with Axios on Friday, Jason Miller, former president Donald Trump’s de facto press secretary, said Trump’s MAGA rallies would return “as soon as late spring or early summer.”

This past week, for the first time since leaving office, Trump is back in the headlines like he used to when president. Facebook’s recent decision to uphold Trump’s ban for at least six months has thrust Trump back into the national headlines and once again dictating a news cycle to his own advantage.

So far Trump isn’t running for office himself so it’s unclear what his MAGA rallies will be. Hostilities have increased between the MAGA wing of the GOP and the Republicans not a fan of Trump as they battle over who will lead the Republican Party into the 2022 midterms.

It is possible Trump will use the MAGA rallies to politically endorse candidates he has started vetting for 2022. He is looking at Republican candidates and America First Republican candidates, according to Axios.

Last week Trump launched his own long-awaited social media platform. He said the site is “a place to speak freely and safely, straight from the desk of Donald J. Trump.” Although it looks more like a Tumblr account than a revolutionary new way of communicating.
