Tamishiro said being back in Lacombe held wonderful memories along with incredible feelings of joy and wonder seeing his first major musical influences, Ken Oliphant, his junior high school principal in Blackfalds. Playing alongside him was Sheldon Zandboer, piano, Kodi Hutchinson, bass, and Jon May on drums.

Tim thrilled the audience with songs and stories from his growing up years as well as his musical influences – Frank Sinatra, Bing Crosby and even Spiderman.

Tamishiro hosts a nightly jazz program on CBC Radio 2.
