Possible tornado touches down west of Edmonton

EDMONTON – A tornado is believed to have touched down just west of Edmonton Wednesday afternoon. According to Environment Canada, a possible landspout tornado was spotted at about 12:40 p.m. on April 24 about seven kilometres north of Peers, Alta.

There are reports of the tornado knocking down two sheds and about 30 metres of fencing.

Funnel clouds were spotted near Camrose and Westaskiwin at around 3 p.m. on Tuesday.
