Lacombe puts out casting call for 20 youth

LACOMBE – Lacombe Performing Arts Centre and Cow Patti Theatre will be rounding up 20 youth between the ages of seven and 17 to be a part of their professional group of young actors.

AnnaMarie Lea, Artistic Producing Director of The Cow Patti Theatre Company

This course will be headed up by AnnaMarie Lea, Artistic Producing Director of The Cow Patti Theatre Company. AnnaMarie has been a professional producer, actor, and director for 32 years and has been working with the youth throughout Northern, Western, and Eastern Canada for the past 28 years.

AnnaMarie has chosen a piece of theatre she wrote and produced in 2009 titled Much more Munsch that is funny, proficient, and entertaining. It’s a show that will touch the hearts of everyone on and off the stage with its compassionate message.

What makes Cow Patti’s Youth Theatre unique and challenging is that they are approached, taught, directed and have the same expectations of that with AnnaMarie’s cast and crews in her regular professional season. This gives young actors the opportunity to experience and enjoy their moment in “professional theatre.”

The course will be on a first come first serve basis, but all applicants will go through an audition process in September so AnnaMarie can learn about their individual talents, passion, and commitment to the project.

For more information on the course or to receive an application form contact the Lacombe Performing Arts Centre, lacombepac@gmail.com or 403-588-4386.
